Opening Story - An Exchange of Life Force

My ex-army buddy messaged me last month telling me that his entire team at work had
become quite sickly.

I brushed him off saying it was probably covid but he got annoyed and said it isn’t. He
suspected it was black magic at work and he had reached out to me because of my job and
that of all his friends, it was likely I knew a thing or two about magic.

He said there was a female colleague in his team that used to be quite sickly. He heard she
would frequently go to Thai temples and graveyards to pray. Recently she got more and
more radiant while the rest of the team got more and more sickly. My friend suspected that
she might be using magic on them to drain their life force.

He then asked me if there was any way to break such a spell. I advised him that they could
go to the religion or faith of their choice; if possible, get amulets or blessed items as
protection. Free thinkers can get the black obsidian crystals as protection.

​3 weeks later, I followed up with him on that case and he told me my advice worked. The
miraculous bit was that a guy who got gangrene and the doctor had recommended
amputation started getting better. The girl, on the other hand, started getting sickly again.
