For years now, Walk With Hantu: Changi has led brave souls through Singapore's most haunted district. Now, as redevelopment creeps in and the old buildings prepare for their final transformation, this signature tour enters its last run - your final chance to experience Changi before its ghosts fade into history.
The night begins by the shoreline of the old coastal kampong, where sea breeze carries stories older than the airport itself. Here, under the dim glow of street lamps, you’ll hear how fishermen, soldiers, and villagers once lived — and how many never left.

From the beach, the path winds toward the former British military barracks, now repurposed as modern-day chalets.  The laughter of holidaymakers hides a darker past: suicide pacts, wartime executions, and strange silhouettes still seen from the upper floors.  Each stop reveals how Changi’s colonial glamour turned quietly uncanny.

Deeper inland lies a stretch unlike anywhere else in Singapore — an enclave of abandoned buildings, each with its own unsettling tale. The derelict SIA Recreational Centre, the eerie Chalet M, the former Raintr33 Hotel, and finally the looming shell of Old Changi Hospital form the island’s largest surviving cluster of forgotten structures. Nearby stands Singapore’s first Prisoner-of-War encampment, still left abandoned — its last tenant mysteriously chose not to renew the lease despite no rent issues. Curiously, the grounds remain beautifully maintained, as if someone unseen is still tending to it.

And hidden among the trees is another colonial-era residence seldom mentioned in public records, where several visitors with psychic sensitivity have described vivid impressions of a tragic crime — one that was never reported. Walking these dark lanes, you’ll feel what no photograph can capture: the hum of emptiness, the stillness before a whisper.

Throughout the evening, professional storyteller Eugene Tay weaves firsthand accounts gathered from residents who grew up here — confessions never published online, stitched together with Singapore’s wartime history and the region’s supernatural logic.  His storytelling is intelligent, witty, and unsettlingly real — part documentary, part theatre, all memory.

The tour closes with a quiet reflection: Why is Changi haunted?  Together, we trace how trauma, myth, and memory intertwine — revealing that haunting is not just about spirits, but about the stories a place refuses to forget.

Why it’s special:
  • Intimate small-group format led by Singapore’s foremost dark-tour expert
  • Access to the last standing cluster of abandoned buildings in the country
  • Original oral histories unavailable anywhere online
  • Immersive storytelling that feels like walking through a live stage set
  • Limited-run experience before redevelopment changes Changi forever

Some admin stuff to ensure your safety and comfort.

Safety
Please sound out if you have:
  • existing condition(s).
  • feeling unwell.
  • notice a fellow Walker feeling unwell.

Water Resource
  • The entire duration of the walk is about 2.5 hours.
  • Please hydrate sufficiently.
  • There is only one pitstop three quarters of the way into the tour with toilet and water point.

Pace
  • The pace is normal walking speed (4km/hour).
  • We will have about 10 checkpoints throughout the tour where we will stop to tell stories.
  • The terrain is flat ground mostly.

Comfort
  • You do not need specific hiking shoes for this walk. Wear your comfortable walking shoes or slippers.
  • it’s a rain or shine event. Bring your umbrella if you don’t fancy being drenched.
  • if mosquitoes ain’t your thing, bring some insect repellent.
  • The places we are going are known for their paranormal encounters. The tour is relatively safe supernaturally speaking, but if required, we can refer you to one of our contacts for deep soul cleansing.

Parking
  • If you are driving, consider parking at Changi Village Carpark 1 or 2, or along the Changi Village Road.
  • Alternatively, you can park at Turnhouse Park carpark beside Coastal Settlement. We’ll be ending our tour near Coastal Settlement.
  • For those who park at Changi Village, you can take an approximately 15 - 20mins walk from Coastal Settlement to Changi Village, or take a bus 29 (frequency 18mins) back to Changi Village interchange.

Public Transport
  • Cab is hard to flag down, and Grab is hard to book as it gets closer to midnight. (Cab drivers still remember the tales of a lady in white flagging down cabs along Changi Road).
  • There are however a few buses you can take from Changi to get back to civilisation (Pasir Ris, Tampines, Tanah Merah) where you can get a cab or change to other modes of public transport.
  • Most buses operate out of Changi around midnight; to be safe, you would want to catch your bus around 11.30pm.

Videography
  • Photography is great! Click away as much as you like and share them on social media.
  • However, we ask that you do not video the tour.
  • First of all the lighting is really bad, so unless you got night vision cams, it’s going to be grainy and shaky.
  • Secondly, we don’t want to spoil the mystery by releasing these uncurated footages on the internet.
  • If you are from the media and want to do a promo for us, reach out to us and we can discuss how best to film it.

Enjoy the walk.
