This tour was specially designed for The Peranakan Museum in conjunction with the Singapore Heritage Festival 2024. Beneath the veneer of the high rise buildings and beautiful landscapes of modern Singapore belies the darker side of our heritage that is passed down through the generations only through oral traditions. Stories that the younger, TikTok savvy generation, and tourists, are not privy to; but all will be revealed on this walking tour.
The tour begins from The Peranakan Museum at Armenian Street, goes across the historic Fort Canning Hill and ends conveniently opposite the Downtown MRT station where the old National Theatre used to stand. Participants will be regaled with tales of ghostly encounters from eye witness accounts and the lore behind these hauntings that comprises of Singapore's diverse ethnic customs and beliefs.
