Confession by Malik, submitted to Dark Arts of Syed Wilson
Night shift has never been the same for 'Malik' ever since he had an encounter with the supernatural. He works in an office building in the CBD area and part of his job scope is to perform floor to floor patrol and each floor has a clocking point. As usual he would perform his patrol and for the rest of his shift he would be at the guard post while his partner takes over his rounds. Malik has always been a sceptic and whenever his colleagues would tell ghost stories he would dismiss them. "Don't tell me all this crap just to scare me ok. Ghosts do not exist!" he scoffs. Malik has never experienced any supernatural experiences...until one fateful night.... The incident happened during his shift on a Thursday night. It was 2am and it was time for him to perform his floor to floor patrol. He would start from level 40 and work his way down. The lights on every floor would usually be dimmed. When he reached level 33 he noticed a lady standing in front of the office door. "Excuse me miss! What are you doing there?" he asked. At the same moment he began to have goosebumps and felt a chill down his spine. The whole floor suddenly smelt of frangipani. There was no answer from the 'lady'....she just stood there. He walked closer to have a closer look. Malik noticed that she was thin and he couldn't see how she looked liked as her long hair was covering most of her face. One thing that struck him was that she did not have any feet! Suddenly the lady just disappeared as if she was made up of a huge puff of smoke! Malik ran to the lift and pressed the button repeatedly hoping the lift would reach his floor. The lift finally arrived and the doors opened. Malik entered the lift and pressed the 'ground' button. The moment he reached the lobby he ran to his guard post. "Eh! What happened to you? Saw a ghost is it?" his partner asked. Malik couldn't reply neither he could talk...after all it was his first time seeing a ghost...and hopefully his last. |
