Uncover the dark legends of Pulau Ubin in this exclusive night tour. Hear untold stories from Ubin villagers, visit the German Girl shrine after dark, and end the night with kampong tales and refreshments in one of Singapore's last living villages.
A JOURNEY INTO UBIN’S HIDDEN SOUL

Pulau Ubin is more than a rustic escape — it is a living museum of faith, folklore, and forgotten histories.

Ubin Secrets invites you to step beyond the usual cycling paths and tourist trails to experience the island as few ever do: after dark, guided by stories passed from those who call Ubin home.

WEI TUO TEMPLE - HOME TO THE GODS OF UBIN
Our journey begins at one of Ubin’s oldest standing temples, a sanctuary that has watched over the island for decades. Within its quiet halls lie stories of faith and inexplicable phenomena witnessed by villagers.

The temple caretaker keeps a remarkable artefact — said to have been found in the hands of the corpse believed to be the German Girl herself. For believers and skeptics alike, this temple offers something few expect to find: evidence of a legend once thought to be mere folklore.

Why it’s special: Exclusive after-hours visit, guided interpretation of relics, and access to a living guardian of Ubin’s spiritual history.

KETAM QUARRY – LAKE OF THE ANCIENT ONE
Once revered as a sacred site and believed to be the spiritual palace of powerful ancient beings, Ketam Quarry was later quarried for granite that helped build Singapore’s maritime city. What remains now is a vast, brooding lake — a wound healed over by nature.

Villagers speak of eerie encounters and unexplained accidents that occurred when man disturbed what was once divine ground.

Why it’s special: We visit at twilight, when the light turns the waters gold and the air hums with stories — a moment of haunting beauty few ever witness in person.

THE GERMAN GIRL SHRINE – BETWEEN FAITH AND FOLKLORE
As night falls, we arrive at one of Singapore’s most talked-about sacred sites. Opened specially after-hours for our tour, the German Girl shrine holds offerings from gamblers, seekers, and devotees who believe in her power to grant wishes — though some whisper that another spirit answers in her place.

You’ll hear the true origin story, told directly from Ubin natives — an account you won’t find in any book, video, or AI summary.

Why it’s special: Private access after dark and an intimate retelling of Ubin’s most enduring mystery, as shared by those who live within its shadow.

KAMPONG HOUSE EXPERIENCE – WHERE STORIES STILL LIVE
The night ends with a visit to a real kampong home, preserved almost as though time has stopped. Here, under the warm glow of lamps, you’ll share traditional refreshments — perhaps even fruits freshly harvested from the island — and sit with villagers who still call Ubin home.

They’ll regale you with childhood memories, ghost stories, and reflections on how the island has changed through the years.

Why it’s special:
Rare access into a living home, genuine human connection, and first-hand storytelling that no museum or archive can replicate.

WHY THIS TOUR IS WORTH IT
