Uncovering Singapore's Sacred Hill, Secret Histories & Forgotten Spirits. Beneath the polished facade of modern Singapore lies a darker, older story - one whispered through generations, passed down in hushed tones long before skyscrapers pierced the sky.
The Fort Canning Conspiracy invites you to walk where kings were crowned, rituals were performed, and power quietly shifted hands. This isn’t just another heritage trail — it’s an evening journey across sacred ground that predates colonial Singapore itself.

The tour begins at The Peranakan Museum on Armenian Street, where tales of faith and superstition intertwine within our early communities. From there, we ascend Fort Canning Hill, once known as Bukit Larangan — the Forbidden Hill — home to ancient rulers, burial grounds, and spirits who never left. Here, you’ll learn of Singapore’s fifth and last king, whose resting place remains one of the island’s holiest keramats.

But history alone doesn’t explain everything that happened here. We’ll peel back layers of secrecy to uncover the Freemasonic influence woven into Singapore’s early founding years — and question whether their clandestine actions shaped more than just architecture.

Along the way, your storyteller Eugene Tay will share first-hand ghost accounts from those who have worked in and around the hill’s colonial buildings — whispers from the museum corridors, shadows in the tunnels, and stories no official archive has ever recorded.

As the path winds down toward the site of the old National Theatre, we end with the folk beliefs and superstitions once common across Singapore — some still quietly practiced today, others dismissed as taboo.

By the end of the night, you’ll see that what we call “history” might just be one version of the truth.

Why This Tour Is Special
  • Walk across Singapore’s most sacred and historically rich hill after dark.
  • Discover the hidden connection between ancient Malay kings, colonial Freemasons, and modern hauntings.
  • Hear oral histories and ghost encounters personally collected by dark heritage researcher Eugene Tay.
  • Visit the keramat of Singapore’s last king — one of the island’s holiest sites.
  • Challenge the official narrative of Singapore’s origins through folklore, mystery, and lived memory.
  • Intimate small-group format for deeper immersion and discussion.
