Changi Beach Incident
I received this story via FB messenger from a mutual friend. She requested that I should not reveal her identity so we shall call her 'Sherry'
After a nice dinner with her husband at Changi Village, they decided to chill out for a while before heading home. Her husband suggested to go to Changi Beach as it was nearer. They parked the car at carpark (she did'nt mention which one in particular) and proceeded to the beach. According to her it was around 11pm. She described the surrounding as peaceful that night. They stayed for about half and hour so..chatting while enjoying the view.
Then it was time to go home. As they were walking to their car,she told her husband to go ahead as she needs to go to the nearby public toilet. Sherry entered the toilet and noticed one of the cubicles was occupied. Not giving any thoughts she went to the available cubicle and went about her 'business'. Whilst inside the cubicle she began to realise something odd...there were no one else at the beach with them. It was just her and her husband. Suddenly she heard the door of the occupied cubicle opened...but no footsteps were heard. Sherry cleaned herself and told herself..whatever it is..by hook or by crook she has to leave the toilet.
As she was opened the door..she saw a woman standing near the entrance of the toilet! She described the woman as pale looking, long hair...she has no expression on her face. Her eyes gave a kind of a blank stare. Sherry mentioned that there was a stench that surrounds her. The smell was like the sea itself! (thats what she described though). Sherry felt like she was about to pass out..her legs felt like jelly and she started 'seeing stars'...then everything went black. When she regained consiousness she was already in the car. Her husband was concerned and asked her what happened? He insisted to take her to the hospital but she declined...she insisted on going home.
The face of that woman still haunts her till this day. When I drew the picture of what she described and showed it to her via messenger...she was taken aback. She said.... "Thats exactly how she looked like!"
Tonight I'm going to share with you a personal experience which happened last year in April. I was doing caricatures for an event at a hotel ballroom in Orchard Road. It was an Annual D&D and I was one of the fringe activities there.
I started drawing at 6pm. The guests starts coming in and a queue buit up at my booth. As always I would chat with them just to break the ice and make them feel comfortable. Then it was this lady's turn to have her caricature drawn. "Please be nice...and make me look awesome" she said with a smile. As I was sketching her we starting a conversation. She was a Malay lady in her early 30s. I moticed one thing though...the was she talk was a bit different. She was eloquent and her mannerism was how should I put it...regal.
Then as I was about to finish she asked if I had noticed anything about her? I told her that there was a kind of vibe that she's giving out when I was drawing her...as if she was a princess or something like that. She smiled and said that I almost got it right. "I have a guardian that has been a part of me ever since I was a teenager. It was handed down to me from my mum before she passed away. And YES she is a princess." she said. She smiled and thanked me for the artwork.
I understood what she mean't when she said 'guardian'. After the event I head home. Throughout the journey I kept having this vision of a lady with long flowing hair and she was wearing a javanese costume...minus the headgear. Once I reached home I took my drawing materials and started sketching the 'princess'.

This incident happened when 'Dahlia' had her first baby in 1982. It was a healthy baby boy and it was her bundle of joy. 'Dahlia' was staying in Queenstown with her husband. At that time her husband works night shifts as a security guard.
One night her baby was crying non stop. She and tried various methods to calm the baby but whatever she tried... failed. She was feeling helpless. She then went over to her next door neighbor, Mak Mah for help. As her neighbor entered the house she was set aback. She told 'Dahlia' to recite some prayers and verses from the Holy Quran. Mak Mah then took the baby to her house and asked her husband, Pak Taib to assist her. When Pak Taib went over to her house. He immediatly recite the 'Azan' (prayer call) in while facing the bedroom.
'You can bring the baby back in now,its gone...' he said. 'Dahlia' was puzzled but relieved. What was in her house that caused her child to cry badly?
The next day Mak Mah dropped by to check on her and her baby. She asked Mak Mah what actually happened? Mak Mah said that her house was visited by an entity called 'Ummu Sibyan'.
UMMU SIBYAN is a female djinn who loves to prey on newborn babies. It resembles an old woman, white hair, fearsome look and sharp teeth. It will disturb the baby...it cause ill effects to the baby. "The moment I entered your house I saw a it squatting next to your baby. That is why I quickly took your child and brought him out of the house." said Mak Mah.
This story was submitted to me through Facebook messenger. The sender wished her identity to by anonymous so I shall just name her 'Julia'.
It was the school holidays and for the first time in her life, Julia is about to visit her grandmother who is staying in Terengganu. It was 1989 and she was just 15 years old.
Julia, her elder brother and her parents had breakfast at Old Woodlands Central before starting their journey. It was going to be a long trip...luckily Julia brought her walkman to get her mind off the tedious trip.
They reached their destination around midnight. Upon reaching the house they were greeted by her grandmother and her uncle. Since it was close to 1pm, Julia's grandmother advised them to settle down and call it the night. That night she was awakened by her sister.
"I need you to accompany me please...the toilet is damn scary and its behind the house!"
Julia was reluctant at first but eventually gave in after much persuasion by her sister. They went to kitchen which has a back door that leads to the toilet outside the house. It was quite dark so Julia lit up a kerosene lamp. Just as they were about to open the door, they saw a shadow that looks like a head hovering near the toilet. Sunddenly the shadow moved towards them...sending them screaming hysterically! Her grandmother and their parents came to their aid. Her uncle recited some prayers and advised them to go back to sleep. Julia and her sister were too terrified to sleep by themselves that they had no choice but to sleep with their parents.
The next morning during breakfast she told everyone what happened...and her grandmother said that it was a normal thing!
"You see..a few meters away just behind this house is another house but was long abandoned. It used to belong to Makcik Kiah. Makcik Kiah was a loner. She never socialise with anyone. There were rumors that she dabbles in black magic. I don't know if its true or not but there have been some disturbances around the neighborhood...flying head..Penanggal! Luckily your uncle managed to 'fence' the house so that nothing can enter or disturb us here. The house is now abandoned..some said she moved out...some said she died..oh well.."
Julia and her sister just kept quite...what did they saw last night? Was it a Penanggal?

Ruby's prefers to go jogging at night instead of doing it in the morning. Whenever she has the chance she would jog around her favorite place...Bedok Resevoir Park. It was an incident back in August of 2012 that made her change her habit. And that is to jog in the morning instead. This is what went down on that fateful night.
It was a perfect night. Ruby decided to jog around Bedok Resevoir Park. At about 10pm she left home..did some warm ups at the void deck and began jogging. As she reached Bedok Resevoir Park she was greeted with a putrid stench. Dismissing it as probably some dead animal nearby, she continued her laps. Strangely the smell was still lingering. Ruby began to get goosebumps and as she passed a few trees she felt like someone was standing between the trees. She stopped to take a clearer look at her surroundings. The area was quite dimly lit and quiet..no sound of crickets at all.
As she looked closely at the trees she saw something that made her froze with fear. Standing near one of the trees was a figure with long, thick hair..wearing what looks like a flowing red robe. What's more frightening is that thing's face..it does not have a lower jaw!
Ruby recited some prayers..hoping to gain enough strenght for her to get out of that place! Meanwhile the thing was still standing there..it's red glowing fixed on to Ruby!
Thats was enough for her! She managed to ran off...ran as quick as she could. As she was running she can still smell the foul stench as if it was following her! She finally reached the main road..feeling relieved to see the passing cars, the passer-bys and the bright street lights. The stench strangely disappeared as she reached the main road.
Ruby was badly shaken by her ordeal even till today. She still jogs though..but only in the morning.
Mdm Rugayah (not her real name) was only 14 years old when she received a special gift from her grandmother. A gift she never wanted in the first place. She remembered that evening when the family was gathering at her aunt's home where her late grandmother resides. Her grandmother was writhing in pain...groaning. Her 'time' is near and condition was really severe.
When Mdm Rugayah and her family arrived, her aunt greeted them. She told Mdm Rugayah to go into the room...alone. The moment she went in she was shocked and saddened upon looking at her most beloved grandmother. She was frail and in pain. She sat next to her grandmother and held her frail hand. Her grandmother smiled and gestured Rugayah to come closer.
" I have a gift for you that I have been keeping for a long time. Will you accept it? " she whispered.
"Yes of course nenek (grandma)" said Rugayah without hesitation.
Suddenly she felt like a cold draft entering her body and she blacked out. By the time she regained consciousness her grandmother had already passed away.
After the passing of her grandmother,Rugayah was constantly disturbed by visions of a hideous woman in white with long hair and a long tongue! She kept having these visions till she reached adulthood where she finally decided to seek help from a bomoh (shaman).
The shaman said she has a guardian..a 'Saka' which was given to her by her grandmother. The Saka has been in her family for ages and now it has been passed down to her. Its task is to look after and protect her. If anyone have any bad intentions toward her then they will face the Saka's wrath!
Mdm Rugayah is now 50 years old...has 3 children and a grandchild. She has grown accustomed to the Saka's presence. The question now is who will be the next recipient of her 'gift'?
The Dream Demon
This story was shared to me via messenger on Facebook. As requested by the sender I will not reveal his name. Lets just call him 'Rudy'
As a child,Rudy (not his real name) was always fascinated with the art of kuda kepang after seeing the amazing feats by the performers such as chewing on pieces of glass while being in a trance. At the age of 18 he joined a local kuda kepang group.
In his story that was shared to me, he did not revealed much about his group or how he went through his initiation process but instead he told me that eversince his first 'trance' session he was often haunted by a demonic creature with thick fur,big glaring eyes and extended fangs. I drew the creature and showed it to him. He repeatedly asked me how did I know how the creature looked like?! Call ot coincidence...call it chance...but it was SPOT ON! Eventually Rudy left the group and it took him a few months to recover. After that there were no more visions of the horrific demon.
This story was sent to me via email which I receive 2 days ago. Thank you to Mr Francis for sharing his experience. His story takes place 15 years ago when his family moved in to their 2 storey bungalow.
Their first night was a night they will never forget. It was about 3am.... their eldest daughter who was still awake heard the sound of someone wearing an ankle chain walking around her room. It went on for about 5 to 8 minutes then it finally stopped...stricken with fear she cried out for her parents. Francis who was half asleep was startled by the cries from his daughter's room and rushed to her aid. After telling him what happened, Francis assured her that it could be their family cat that happens to wear a collar with bells but his daughter was still insisting that it was'nt the cat.
Eventually he has no choice but to get her to sleepnin her younger sister's room. But things got even worse...this time around both daughters heard the sound of the ankle chains followed by a 'licking sound'! To their horror they saw an apparition of what seems to be a silver haired indian lady with a long tongue sitting in the middle of the room staring at them! The girls screamed with sheer terror which sent Francis and his wife running to their room. The youngest daughter was delirious while her sister was paralyzed with fear. They decided to leave the house and spent the night at a relative's house.
Francis eventually sought the help of a Taoist monk to bless and clease the house. The apparition was never to be seen again.
