When it comes to haunted locations in Singapore, many thrill seekers lament that there just isn’t any more places left in Singapore to explore. Two of the famous houses of the 90s - Red House in Pasir Ris and Matilda House in Ponggol have been converted to a pre-school and condo respectively. The other hot spots have been claimed by authorities and demarcated as “out of bounds or else...” territory. That is only half the truth. If you get your source of horror intel from lifestyle sites like Goodyfeed, Mothership and MustShareNews, you probably only get the stories that are rehashed to death, especially during the 7th month and Halloween time of the year. As a page that calls itself supernatural CONFESSIONS we pride ourselves on bringing you hushed secrets that isn't yet available on mainstream news sites. And that is why we dig into out network to speak with, and snuggle up close to, people who have made a career/passion out of investigating haunted places. These haunted places are not made public because we don’t want weekend thrill seekers, druggies, and couples with macabre sexual fetishes descending upon the place like it's a budget version of Halloween Horror Nights. Featuring MC Zee and his team of paranormal investigators from Paranormal Encounter SG, consisting of Joe Johanis (AV Specialist), Nizam (Photo/Video Specialist) and 'Nonya' Rinie (Admin). They are old guards on the scenes who were inspired as youths by cartoons like Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo. Paranormal Encounter SG produces live videos, and recently stories from Indonesia, catering predominately to the malay community. While you don’t really need translation to enjoy the photos and videos, you will miss out on and what’s being discussed in the comments and chilling tales written in Bahasa. They invited Supernatural Confessions to observe their investigation and we sent Syed Wilson to meet the team at around midnight. This is his report: Location: Confidential, Date: 30th August, Time: 00:00 Hrs The place is huge from the outside; we estimated the value of the land to be about SGD20 million. It has a large courtyard, what looks like a stable that can hold up to 5 horses, and no pesky next door neighbour along the street to have to make small talk with. The bungalow have three stories but the roof have collapsed from weathering and the third floor looks more like a mini jungle. We didn’t think it was safe to be wading knee deep through vegetation without clear visuals. There were many entrances to the first level but we decided to take the scenic route and go by the back door where a narrow spiral staircase led to the floors above. The place looked much larger from the outside. Inside, the place felt like a maze. There are many doorways leading to other rooms that connected to even more rooms; from the built-in furniture you can guess what purpose the rooms served before it was abandoned to its current state. MC Zee reckoned this place might be abandoned for more than 20 years. The family probably still owns the rights to the land but for some reason never sold it and never maintained it. The stairs to the second floor looks ominous and in the shadows where the lights don’t touch, you can feel that there are entities in this place watching us. Joe said that when they came here for recce the week before, they heard the sound of a chair getting dragged across the floor board above. When they went up to check, the chair which was initially facing the wall, had moved itself to face a corner. In Indonesia belief, when a chair faces the corner it means that the place is haunted. And that’s where we are about to head towards. We moved cautiously up where the wooden floorboards are badly decomposed. Part of the ceiling have have collapsed showing the hollow interior of the false ceiling. At this stage, my mind is telling me that at any moment now, the boy from Ju-On will peek out of a corner to curse us. The second floor was easier to navigate with one main living room area surrounded by smaller rooms. The team caught something on their Kinect system and picked that spot as the first point for tonight’s investigation. There's a lone leather chair in the middle of what seems to be the second floor living room area. They team managed to capture a figure sitting down on the chair using the kinect device and tried to make contact. The energy vortex in this place is more palpable, while it didn't feel malicious, the vibration of the room is quite apparent. [To be continued...] Editor's Note: The team ended their investigation at around 5am, a few hours before this article was written. We'll need take some time over the week to review the footage and catch up with the Paranormal Encounter SG team to interview them on their experiences. Follow our Facebook Page to get fresh updates.
Confession by E This is a short video footage of a segment of what was captured by the CCTV at the place where I work. The incident happened close to midnight as you can see from the video. We noticed a mysterious ball of fire that appeared and flew to the back door and after a few seconds it turned around and flew back to the front. I've sent you the footage below. Please do not reveal my name or the place where this took place. The Duty Officer says he checked on 16 different screens but there were no other abnormally from different angles. The nurses on duty that night did not notice anything strange even though it passed by the dispensary four times. It was as if this entity was trying to make its presence known only to him. I checked with the rest of the security officers and none of us are able to explain what we saw on this footage. More senior officers said that such phenomenon is not uncommon. They have seen a child spirit wandering around the grounds as well and on some nights there's also the apparition of a young woman who seemed to be looking for something. When the security officers approached the spot, the apparition would disappear. A former nurse was taking a nap in an empty room when she was awoken by a strong uneasy feeling and sensed that she was being watched. She half opened her eyes and saw a female entity floating about in the room. The only people who had access to the room were staff but all the employee knew each other and the nurse did not recognize this "lady". Another employee who had some ability to sense spirits claimed that the female spirit stayed in one of the staircases near the entrance which is the one along the corridor that was shown in the footage above. However he feels that the ball of fire was that of the child spirit, and not the lady, and it had wondered into the building and chose to stay here. In another incident, I was updating a list if names of residents who had passed away that year. It was for 7th month prayers and we wanted to send blessings to the deceased. Because this was a non-official project amongst the staff members, we did not want to go into the system to print out a name list, instead we recalled the names from our minds. I felt it was also more personal this way, lah. We had all the names down but one particular name just eluded my memory. Think as hard as I could, but the name just wouldn't come to me when I was writing down the list. That night, the deceased appeared in my dream to tell me his name. Ok, I know people will just say this was my imagination but I tell you, in my heart I know this was not just a normal dream. After deciding to confess my experience to Supernatural Confessions, I went around asking the residents if any of them had any experience. This was not something I had ever done before. In fact, most times, we try to debunk any possible paranormal encounters but this time I felt it's about time we actually come to terms with experience.
One of the resident said this: "I have gotten kicked, punched and woken up with bruises on my body. There were a few times, I went to the central toilet at 2.45am and saw a tall black shadow of a man standing at the end of the corridor." Another long time resident said this: "This whole area was Kampung Buangkok a Malay village. It had a mosque and a graveyard. Remains were exhumed but if you look at the location of the graveyard it covers here and a few of the neighbouring homes." One of the nurses who heard me asking around for stories said that the very morning itself someone had reported to him that the resident was "disturbed" the night before that something was pulling his blanket in the middle of the night. Confessed by Ling Note from Ling: Wa.. last night i couldn't sleep well after sending you the stories. Now i will continue the 2nd half. So now we both sat on the sofa in the living hall. He told me he didn't know he fell asleep. He was awoken by sounds of many people talking together at the same time. The voices were not loud or angry, they were just audible but he couldn't make out the words. It was like a marketplace with people talking over each other. The sounds were coming from the bedroom. And he, being in a half-awoken state, forgot that we were in JB, was thinking, "WTF, this woman (me) ask the whole family come to settle our argument or what?!" So he got up and walked to the bedroom and saw i was asleep, alone in the unlit bedroom. Everything else was the same. The noises stopped. He got back some of his senses and was still figuring out what was going on. He decided to go have a smoke, and searched for a lighter in the kitchen. My husband is a logical, no nonsense kind of person and he doesn't have a religion, but he respected all religions. He believed there is a Higher Power but drew the line at believing in the Supernatural.
He said the feel of wanting to get me out of the room was stronger than his fear so he was not afraid. We ended up talking about this for a while in the living room with the TV volume on louder so we wont feel like we were alone.. hahaha.. i keep asking him all the possibilities.. like are you sure its not the neighbors or something? Probably its from the balcony? Or the tv? Or people along the corridor outside? But it was the wee hours, the building is new and we had no neighbours. The TV was off. We decided to grab the pillows and blanket from the room and sleep on the sofa with the TV on. We stayed up until about 7am until the first ray of sunlight shone in and then went back to sleep in the bedroom. We managed to get a few hours sleep and checked out at 11am. Note from Ling:
Whats your take, Eugene? My dream of 7-8 people talking to me matches the voices of the crowd he heard. I didn't told him my dream until after he relate the whole incident to me! I didn't feel threatened or fear in the dream. Who are they? And the single dark figure? It has been a year plus now since it happened.. some times i still think about it, but i didn't chase for an answer. Confessed by Ling I grew up in a typical Chinese family and my mother and relatives will visit those TangKees on and off when they have some issues that cant be settled the normal way, and from young my mum has been telling me that i am the more "Yin" person due to the timing of my birth or something. Although i can't, and definitely hope not to, see anything supernatural.. on numerous occasions i had close encounters. I will normally be the one who have dreams about my late grandmother when Qing Ming or 7th Month is round the corner. I remember there's one time I dreamed about an ex-school mate. Which was strange because we hadn't met for many years and I wasn't even actively thinking about her. A few weeks later I heard from other schoolmates that she had passed on around the time I had the dream. In another incident, I dreamed about another friend who told me that he was cold and needed a jacket. He turned to walk away before I could do anything in my dream. The next day, I got news that he had passed away. There are more of such coincidental incidences but what I want to tell you today is about a more recent event that took place in April 2019. Me and Hubby planned for a 1-night staycation in JB. We usually book Airbnb as they can be much cleaner and cheaper than the 5 stars hotel. We are always satisfied with our bookings 90% of the time. For this staycation, I found a whole condo unit, newly built and furnished, at just SGD 60.00 a night. The only catch is that it is quite ulu, far away from civilisation, surrounded by undeveloped forested area and nothingness. Since we were driving, the location isn't exactly a concern. It would take us about 15 - 20 mins drive out to the mall and we could live with that. it was so new that when we arrive to meet the host for check in, the lift lobby looks like the renovations weren't quite done, with plastic sheets on the ground, unpeeled protective film on the lift bars and buttons. The smell of paint was still fresh in the air. The host was a friendly young man and he met us to pass us keycards and personally brought us up to the unit and showed us around the place. Prior to the booking, I read that there were about 4 other good reviews about this place. So as experienced Airbnb tenants, we are delighted with the deal. The apartment was a 1 bedroom room unit with balcony. The toilet was right outside the bedroom and the toilet door and bedroom door was facing directly opposite each other, but separated by a study-desk area. There was a kitchen behind the toilet, meaning the bedroom and kitchen area was separated by the toilet in the middle. The TV came with free Netflix account and the aircon smelled new n fresh. Deco was also nicely done with careful thought put into the fixtures and lighting. All in all, the place looks great. But don't let looks deceive you. The place can be haunted even when it looks modern on the surface. Me and hubby went for usual shopping and dining. We had a little disagreement, and with the mood soured, we ended the night early and went back to the apartment. I went to the bedroom and sleep alone with the lights off but kept the door opened. The study desk area and toilet were well lit and i didn't need a night light in the bedroom. The bed was comfy and i fell asleep almost immediately. My hubby was still angry at me and refused to come to the room. He fell asleep on the sofa in the living hall in front of the TV. It was then that I had a dream again. I was still in the same apartment and there were knocking on the main door. I was still lying on the bed looking out from the bedroom where I can see the living hall area. A group of Chinese folks let themselves in, about 7 to 8 of them. A mixture of old and young, teenagers and middle aged uncles and aunties. They were friendly and gave off a comfortable vibe. They stood around my bed and started to sing what sounds like christian songs. There were lyrics floating in the air and there was a message for me. They are telling me: in an argument, if you want to give in, you have to think of whether it will help the other party to become a better person and not to give in blindly. Then before they all turned and leave, some shook my hand, some patted my shoulder, in a congratulatory manner. All these while i was just lying on the bed looking at this scene. The next moment, i found my hubby shaking me awake. He asked if i want to go out to get supper. I asked him what the time was and he said something like 3am plus. I told him that he was crazy and I turned around to go back to sleep. Then he started acting weird like asking me to get out of the room to do something else, like watch the TV with him. I kept rejecting him till his tone turned serious and that was when I knew something was wrong. I got up and went out to the sofa. That's when he told me what he had just experienced. Note from Ling: I will share this in my next mail.. haha too long to type now and I am getting a little scared.
Confessed by Ming As most people know, Changi Airport is built on a reclaimed land. In the past this area was actually a malay fishing village. At Terminal 2 (T2), near gate F59/60, they have this automated travelator. As part of the power saving feature, the travelator would only work when it detects someone passing by its sensor. Those of us working in the airport know that it's only this particular travelator that will "malfunction" and operate on its own when there's no one around. Engineering department has looked into this many times but cannot find anything mechanically wrong with it. Not sure if it's connected or not, but around that same gate, people have reported seeing a little girl sitting atop the aerobridge, swinging her legs. The reports came from different people who are not related but the description is always the same - she's wearing a white dress, has long hair and no eyes. Also at T2, gate F35, there was this incident where a few years back there was an accident where a toll car ramp into the gates and the driver died instantly. Though you will not find this reported in the news as it was covered up internally. This gate is the one which requires travelers to walk down a flight of stairs to board the bus that sends them to the plane. So there was once, when my colleague and I were preparing to receive the travelers when out of sudden someone walked into the holding area from the boarding side to tell us that the bus is ready. At that point in time, we were pre-occupied so we just replied, "OK." Later on, when we were ready to receive travelers, we remembered that door can only be opened from the inside of the holding area. So, how did that person come in? We did a quick radio check with the rest of our colleagues but no one was near us during that incident so... who the hell was that? Terminal 3 (T3), Gate B10, is also another hot spot for paranormal encounter, or should I say - cold spot. This gate generally feels colder than any other gates and it's not because of the air-conditioning. Those working in that terminal believe it is because the stairs from that gate leads towards to a room downstairs which is used primarily as a holding area for passengers who died on the flight or bodies of the deceased to be repatriated. There was one incident when my colleague walked past and felt a chilling vibe. The cold spot was colder than usual and something did not smell right. In order to get to the ops room, he had to walk past the holding room. Just as he was approaching the room, a red ball bounced out of the room across his path. He picked it up and looked into the room. It was dark, there were nobody in the room, and no flight scheduled at that gate either. Then he heard the sound of children giggling and the pitter-patter sound of feet running around. My colleague didn't wait around to find out where the source of the sound came from, he just ran all the way back to ops and shared this story only with a handful of colleagues.
Anyway just a side reminder, the blankets given on board, some were used to cover the dead that passed away on board. Something for you to think about the next time you fly. As previously shared, my mother practises Indonesian dark arts. Yeah, she keeps pocongs & stuff. She would call/ text messaged at odd hours. 1.40am, 2am, 3am, 3.45am, 12 am. The healer told us, she was performing her rituals as she spoke to us over the phone. As for the text messages, once we read it, her rituals would be completed. He told us to immediately delete any messages sent. It was negative energy sent our way. “Ada orang nak antar lauk, buka pintu” (Someone wants to send food, open the door) she messaged, AT 11.30pm and 12 midnight, on several occasions. When I didn’t open the door at that timing, she sent angry text. “Derhaka, kurang ajar, tak nak buka pintu!” (Unfilial, rude, don't want to open the door) There was no one outside, no knocking, nothing. Why would I open the door for no reason? Also why would anyone send food at midnight. Before this, there were several nights of loud meowing coming from outside & top part of the door. It was very loud. It sounded like someone imitating a cat meowing. AT 2AM! I looked through the peeping hole, there was nothing. The healer told us to say prayers before answering calls, reading text messages and such. Modern day rituals. It also explained why I saw a pocong in my house in the past. Also, she did a ritual to cause my second sister’s miscarriage. My second sister found out about this and only then she started believing me. I was very suspicious because my mother & first sister were not nice to her when she was pregnant. As a matter of fact, the first sis was rejoicing on the day the miscarriage happened. The very first healer I went to, should have told me the whole truth. Instead he refused to tell me who it was but just hinted that it was an older female person. There were several instances where I found her wringed out, urine stench sanitary pad in the kitchen sink. The man said she had poured the contents into my food, part of her ritual. Which explained why I felt unwell whenever I ate at home. I remember seeing her rejoicing, jumping up & down “Bagus dia dah makan!!” (Good she has eaten it). I got really sick hours later. My whole body started breaking out in red rashes & developed high fever. Now I realized that, I kept falling sick whenever she offered me food, or ate anything from home when she was present. Similar symptoms. The very first of such instance was when I was 9. As I was lying down sick, she kept feeding me food and told me to die. It all made sense now. The healer also advised to say prayers whenever someone stares at you for too long. Once, they have gone deep into the dark arts, they develop the capability to entice just with their eyes, as they chant their mantras silently in their heads. Which once again, I caught her doing so PLENTY of times. When I was in secondary school, she showed me an odd shaped black object she claimed was a herb. I had always preferred herbs/TCM over medications. She knew that and manipulated me into thinking it was jamu (indonesian herbal). She blended it with bananas and I drank it. I had a very painful stomach cramps afterwards. Ignorance isn‘t bliss, it’s deadly. Watch Esza's other confessions on YouTube. Confession by Esza Ab After decades of bad luck and odd experiences, last year I finally found out my mother was the one who was doing black magic to me and some of my siblings. It confirms my suspicions that it was her. The very first muslim healer told me my suspicions of being a victim of black magic was true, but he refused to tell me who did it. He told me that he & his newborn grandson were attacked. Other healers over the years, told me they couldn’t see the perpetrator or have no ability to handle Asian black magic. In the end I did my own research and tried meditating. My gut feelings always suspected my mother because of her odd behaviour. She often would turn her face to right, while whispering. After which she would blow at your face. Last year an ex-colleague recommended a Chinese healer. He told me she was chanting her mantra. Part of the ritual was to chant as she face the right side. So this explains her odd antics. Mind you, I did not tell him about her behaviour at all. I just said I came for help & suspected my mother. He told me if I had accompanied her to Jakarta, it would complete her ritual & that no one could have helped me. She did tell me that, since I had trouble getting jobs, fall sick a lot & had bad luck for years, she knew of a great healer who lived in Jakarta. She was trying to convince me he could help. By sheer luck, I had to work & didn’t want to take leave. This woman, is good at acting pitiful & appearing kind to others. Anyway, I got fed up because, she wouldn’t stop. One day my gut feeling told me to open her red bag that was left on the table. There I found my pictures that was printed off Instagram & Facebook. Other people’s pictures as well. Which pisses me off, because I saw the bag on that table for 2 years at least. I just need to find someone to end it once and for all. My 2nd sister brought me to a muslim healer yesterday. Frankly, what he told me was what I already knew. Again the slow coach method, drink holy water infused with sireh leaves. I was given the same lecture , be patient, believe, god’s willing. Decades of suffering, I don’t want to waste any more time. This also explains why, when we lived in the haunted woodlands house, she refused to call Ustaz to cleanse or do anything. She was trying to cover her tracks. It would explain why, she kept telling us from young to be afraid of ghosts and setan (demons). Programming us to be fearful, so it’ll be easier for her to perform her rituals. The whole problem was, I told many people and in typical Malay fashion, they’re only interested to hear but be quick to ignore when you ask for help. Some Malay healers would often refuse to tell me she was the one who did it. Instead, they would make sarcastic remarks directed to her. Asking her why she was afraid and stuff. Had I not asked non-muslim colleagues, my suspicions wouldn’t have been confirmed. Watch the rest of Esza's confessions on YouTube. |
